Parents Journey

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

Assalamualaikum,

I am Yearun mother of one of the originals of BaRaKaH as my son proudly calls himself . Subahanallah my journey with BaRaKaH started approximately seven and a half years ago ,with my son attending classes at Brynmill community centre with eight pupils in his class Mashaallah , and now years later I have my daughter attending as well.  BaRaKaH is not just a club we attend , it is part of our lives. Both my children enjoy every session they attend and look forward to the next Alhamdulillah.

MashaAllah, the  set up of a BaRaKaH is just precious,I do not have words to describe it, the only words come to my mind is “blessed community and family “. May Allah (swt) protect BaRaKaH  ameen .

As for development and progress of my children for me the biggest thing is that they have love for our deen “ISLAM”, which I could not have instilled on my own.  It is the blessing of Allah (swt) and through BaRaKaH principles, the hard work of the team that both my children are passionate about Islam. And of course it goes without saying that they are learning to read the most blessed book the Quran and developing Islamic knowledge Mashaallah I am proud of my children.

The wonderful activities that has taken place over the years in which we have been involved in are just amazing, to name a few : BaRaKaH  Quran marathons, BaRaKaH Quran competitions, BaRaKaH bake off, BaRaKaH apprentice, BaRaKaH international food festival, The legends and many more.  These activites have helped my children develop confidence and skills to be able to stand up and recite Quran, deliver meaningful messages and perform in front of large audiences. Subahanallah they are a lot braver than I am.I feel BaRaKaH encourages and supports every pupil to develop to their maximum potential.

BaRaKaH may be run by volunteers but it is run professionally. BaRaKaH organisers, staff, volunteers (past and present), have a lot to be proud of.  I would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to all those who have been and still are part of my children’s life through BaRaKaH.  May Allah swt reward you all for all your effort, ameen.

Please keep me and my family in your duas .

Jazakallah.

Yearun (Ubayedhur and Umniya’s mum)

Asalamu Alaykum BaRaKaH has made my life and the people around me a better place.  Alhamdullilah I am a happy mother of three boys Ahmad, Hashim and Rayan in 2014 I decided to put my youngest child Rayan in BaRaKaH and to this day I still see that this is the best decision I have ever made Alhamdullilah. Rayan was enjoying BaRaKaH so much and loving the Quran more than before.  I decided to put my other two children into BaRaKaH even though my older two children were very busy, I still managed to put them in as I was so determined to see the same effect on them as it had on Rayan.  BaRaKaH is a fantastic place it holds Quran competitions every year,  There are many other events in BaRaKaH like the  bake off  which was done for charity, they also hold other fantastic competitions and activities that are very exciting and fun Alhamdullilah.  My children have accomplished so much since the beginning of the journey and in under two years my youngest child Rayan finished the Iqra series a compilation of 6 books and reaching Quran level.  My other childern have also participated in many competitions Allhamdullilah. I just want to thank all the volunteers and members of BaRaKaH that have made me so happy may Allah bless all who have contributed to BaRaKaH thank  you.
